I like to think of myself as a designer, a thinker, an explorer, a maker, a friend, a brother, a son, and a creator. I love making things, it's a passion of mine, whether those things are models, buildings, relationships, or goals. I can't help but get my hands dirty, work with wood, explore the outdoors, or dig deep enough into a project to find what makes it function.
I also like to think of myself as a leader. Growing up I seemed to always surround myself with other natural leaders whether my family or my friends, and through that, I like to think it rubbed off just enough onto me. In high school I was drum major for our marching band, helping to lead over 150 members through, drill, halftime shows in front of thousands, and even in parades along the east coast. In college I find myself leading a group of students through AIAS, the largest architecture organization on campus, where I was Undergraduate Co-President of our chapter at NC State. Past graduation I hope to continue that trend and one day lead my own team and start a business of my own, whether it be within or outside of the practice of architecture.
